Sometimes life can be hard and it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. Taking the first step and reaching out to a therapist can seem extremely daunting but with the right help there comes the opportunity for improved wellbeing in your life.
I offer a professional and confidential counselling/psychotherapy service where we can look at the difficulties you are experiencing in a safe and holding environment.
As an integrative counsellor I am trained in several modalities of counselling. With Person Centred Theory at the core, I incorporate Psychodynamic Theory, Transactional Analysis (TA) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) into our work together so that your individual therapy always suits your individual needs. By exploring your life together you can share your concerns and gain insights into issues that may have arisen from the past or present, and together we can look at ways that may improve your wellbeing, within the support of an ongoing therapeutic relationship.
I see clients at my private practice in Bricket Wood with parking available, or alternatively I see clients in Kings Langley by appointment. I am a fully registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to working within these ethical boundaries. You can find out more about the BACP by visiting their website www.bacp.co.uk.
I offer an optional free 30 minute consultation where we can meet and discuss if us working together is right for you. I can tell you what you can expect from me and answer any questions you may have. If you decide you would like to enter counselling with me then we can arrange a suitable time of the week to meet. Our next ession would involve an assessment where we can get a better picture of your life and what has brought you to counselling. We can discuss the focus of our sessions and the number of sessions you may require.
Much of my work involves working with those effected by sexual violence, current and historic past experiences which can feel impossible to process. If you have been effected by sexual violence, you may never have spoken about this to anyone, and the idea of doing so can be extremely daunting; I aim to provide you with an environment which feels safe and secure in which you can take therapy at your own pace where I will be alongside you in your journey.
